I Have Returned!

At long last, I have decided to return. Sorry if you have been checking back over and over again, not seeing any updates. There was one smaller update I ended up doing about a week ago because I forgot to update that Balatro mod for the new mod compiler version, so maybe someone ended up getting baited. To be honest I was just going to fix that little grid formatting issue on the homepage that was bothering me, but I thought I might as well do a post as well.

For the last month and a bit I was busy upping the focus of my job search. I got a bit further with it than I felt I had in the past but, regretfully, I am still searching. Ultimately, that's not really a good reason to stop work on my website, but seeing as much of this website's focus so far is about the projects I work on and all the work I could possibly put into further advertising myself it kind of made sense to take a break. For those who may have just added this to their browser favourites or those just dropping in for a visit every now and then, I only notified this by a status post on my neocities profile.

Anyway, considering I'm still occupied with searching, don't expect me to drop a new game or something. If I happen to actually drop a new game, I've done it in my spare time, and it hasn't overtaken my life, and it's not guaranteed to be amazing. I say what if because right now I have no idea what I'm going to do. Over the time this website has been inactive I have been collecting CDs. That *might* be something I might make a post about because that has been a pretty cool adventure so far. I've also gone pretty big on recent game purchases. I've bought just 2 games on the Steam summer sale and, already, I have already spent like 150. They are hella good games tho. There's one that I think has given me the best experience from a fighting game in a long while. That could also be a post like the GT4 one I reposted recently.

In terms of the website itself, there's a couple of things that need to be changed now rather than later. This would be my 10th post now. None of the posts have any image or tags assigned to them. That will definitely support further click through on the website. Even an "ey, here's the other posts in this series" kind of set up might be a good idea. And, of course, there's the font. Minimalist or not, if the text was bigger and nice looking, it's gonna make things better to read.

Lets be honest: Being lazy and playing video games and doing a little retro media hogging is pretty relaxing. Unfortunately though, that doesn't really help generate the self-confidence that owning a website and sharing all the silly things you are putting yourself through to achieve something. Even if those 5,000+ visits on my neocities stats page are some AI scraper going and adding all my posts to its database, it still feels good to be productive in a way that I feel rewarding. I'm going to be putting more work into this website eventually.
